We are honoured to announce that we will be welcoming the world-famous actor John Malkovich to the stage of the Hybernia Theatre. In The Solitude of Cotton Fields, by French playwright Bernard-Marie Koltès, will be presented in Prague for two exclusive nights – 21 and 22 June 2025
The film is directed by award-winning Russian filmmaker Timofey Kuljabin, and in addition to John Malkovich, Ingeborg Dapkūnaitė will also star. Together they will play out a thrilling and linguistically precise dialogue between two characters – the dealer and the customer. The themes of the production touch on desire, power, sexuality and invisible social boundaries.
The performance was successfully staged in prestigious venues in Paris, Rome, Budapest and London. We are honoured that in June 2025 it will be presented to the Czech audience for the first time in our theatre.
