About the inscenation
The musical Dot and the Kangaroo is based on the original Australian book Dot and the Kangaroo, which was written with a clear intention – to introduce children and adults to the unique beauty of Australia, its nature, customs, fauna, and flora. The theatrical adaptation brings this story to the stage with playfulness, imagination, and modern musical energy, making the experience lively, emotional, and accessible to all age groups.
The main character, Dorothy, gets lost in the Australian bush and meets a kind kangaroo who guides her through a world of extraordinary animals, indigenous people, and a magical landscape full of secrets. Together, they embark on an adventurous journey filled with humor, suspense, original choreography, and songs inspired by Australian culture.
The performance gently teaches children about nature conservation, respect for animals, cooperation, and courage. At the same time, it offers a fascinating glimpse into an environment that is unique and little known to European audiences, giving it a strong educational dimension.
The musical is performed by young actors from Children’s Studios, who portray this adventurous story full of fantasy and knowledge with great enthusiasm. Under the guidance of a professional team, the production combines entertainment with the discovery of new cultures and inspires viewers to perceive the world with openness and respect.
