About the inscenation
A multimedia concert story of the present inspired by the music of Antonio Vivaldi – as he would have approached it today: with world music, modern instruments, and an energetic rhythm section.
The Vivaldianno project has shone in more than thirty world capitals and thrilled over 300,000 spectators around the world.
Vivaldianno in Concert is a newly adapted version of the successful title Vivaldianno the Show, which is part of the repertoire of the Hybernia Theater. The concert performance focuses on the power of live music, storytelling, and visual spectacle. It draws audiences into the slightly chilling, mysterious story of Baroque genius Antonio Vivaldi, set in magical, light-filled Venice.
The unique combination of live music, 3D effects, and interactive projections creates a captivating atmosphere that literally envelops the auditorium.
The author and producer of the project, musician and composer Michal Dvořák, says of the new adaptation: “The atmosphere of Venice full of lights, which we have managed to create in this version, will provide viewers with an even stronger experience and perfectly support the story and music of Antonio Vivaldi. Just as Vivaldi was innovative and modern in his time, we too strive to approach his work with the latest technical and visual means – with absolute respect for his genius.”
“VIVALDIANNO – CLASSICAL MUSIC ON STEROIDS. CONTEMPORARY MUSICAL EMOTION AND ENERGY”
The libretto was written by lyricist, playwright, and screenwriter Tomáš Belko, with Jiří Janouch as co-author of the arrangements. Hollywood star and 007 agent Pierce Brosnan guides us through Vivaldi’s life story. In the Czech version, the narrator is voiced by actor Jiří Dvořák. Other voices include Kryštof Hádek, Jan Dolanský, Pavla Tomicová, Petr Štěpánek, Vilma Cibulková, Patricie Pagáčová, and Milan Peroutka.
International audiences can enjoy the original English version via the Cinewav app, synchronized with live music.
The project was newly adapted for the Hybernia Theater under the direction of Michal Dvořák, co-author, producer, and member of the legendary band Lucie.
The magical combination of a string quartet, electric and acoustic guitars, synthesizers, samplers, percussion, drums, ethnic instruments, and sound effects gives the show a powerful art-rock energy. Vivaldianno in Concert blurs the boundaries between genres and cultures, creating a “show without borders” that appeals to Czech and foreign audiences across generations.
Immerse yourself in a stunning and mysterious story, discover the love affairs and genius of the Baroque master, and experience the music of Antonio Vivaldi as you have never heard or seen it before.
