About the inscenation
The charismatic singer, accordionist, and songwriter is setting off on tour with her band, during which she will present her album Láska, hlína, rýč (Love, Clay, Spade) and many other original songs to audiences. Once again, the singer’s authentic stories, told with raw humor and captivating charm, will be a part of the concerts, giving the audience insight into what inspired the songs.
Rozálie’s second album, Láska, hlína, rýč (2024), earned her several nominations for the prestigious Anděl Awards, including Female Artist of the Year. It became one of the most talked-about recordings in Headliner’s annual best-of list. Josef Vlček described it in his review as a “rebellious generational gesture.”
“A cheeky girl with an accordion has attracted attention within two years. She provokes with vulgar love songs and stories, or by putting on a sack. But even the big record labels couldn’t handle her tough attitude.”
*Honza Vedral, Headliner
“There hasn’t been an album like this in a long time! A Czech chanson singer for the 21st century? Something like Hegerová, but with the difference that Rozálie also writes her own songs. And even though she likes to sing about how she suffers with men, she’s no martyr, but a quirky woman who can be sharp as a razor even when she’s in pain.”
