About the inscenation

The year 2024 is dedicated to the memory of French writer, journalist, poet, professional aviator Antoine Marie Jean-Baptiste Roger de Saint Exupéry.

The unique literary and musical performance based on Saint Exupéry’s world-famous work The Little Prince is a combination of several types of art. Literature, music and painting are woven together by threads of emotion into a complete artistic form.

Excerpts from The Little Prince will be performed on stage in an excellent interpretation by Otakar Brousek Jr. in combination with masterpieces by world composers – Bach, Dvořák, Smetana, Saint-Saëns, Ravel, Debussy, Bizet. The PKF – Prague Philharmonia Orchestra will be conducted by the world-renowned conductor Alim Shah and the French conductor Louis Hedde.

The unique experience will be highlighted by the paintings of Saint-Exupéry, which will be recreated on stage by the brilliant painter and Antarctic traveller German Grott.

The show is suitable for the whole family. It will fascinate both children, for whom the wonders are obvious and natural, and adults who can “look with their hearts”.

“We can only see well with our hearts. You can’t see what is important with your eyes”.
